Gantry 5.1.3 is now available. This update is packed with enhancements and feature additions, including several new features for WordPress. We also focused our efforts on resolving many of the bugs and other issues spotted by the Gantry community.

New Features and Improvements

Gantry 5.1.3 introduces six new features for the WordPress platform, as well as a host of improvements and bug fixes that affect both Joomla and WordPress.

Among these improvements is an overall reduction in memory usage. We've also added handy tooltips to prevent common scripting errors such as inline code needing to be stripped out of <script> and <style> tags within Custom JS/CSS atom content.

For more information about this update, and all of its improvements, bugfixes, and new features, check out the changelog on the front page of the Gantry website.

WordPress-specific Additions

Specifically for WordPress, a particle widget has been added enabling users to create a Gantry 5 particle and have it placed as a widget. This is a great way to quickly set up sections of your site that include both particles and widgets, intermingled, and have them all easily accessible in one place.

We have also added a Login Form particle to make it easy to set up a login form as a particle, and place it anywhere you'd like it to appear on the front end.

A new stream has been added making it easier for users to access files and data located in the wp-content directory. Now, if you want to access files located in the wp-content directory you can easily jump there by using the wp-content://folder/file.example stream.

Speaking of streams, we've added the ability for Gantry's streams to be used directly in post and page content bodies. Since WordPress isn't big on relative links, we felt that adding this feature would make users' lives a lot easier. That's not all, you can also use streams in other areas, such as within post excerpts and text widgets, too!

Widgets can now be added directly to the menu using the Gantry 5 Menu Editor. This is a big feature, which opens the door to a lot of possible menu enhancements. This is in addition to direct particle injection, which is already available.

If you have any problems at all with Gantry 5.1.3, please feel free to let us know by submitting an issue on the GitHub project, or by reaching out via the Gitter chat.
