Gantry 5.2.17 has received a patch solving a minor issue that affects atom placement and collection reordering.
Some users of Gantry 5.2.17 have reported issues with drag-and-drop functionality as it relates to atoms and reorganizing collection items in particles. This issue only affects the initial release package for 5.2.17 and has been patched so any downloads of the Gantry 5 component/plugin from this point forward will not be affected.
If you already have Gantry 5.2.17 installed and have come across this issue, we have a fix for you. If you haven't come across this issue, no action is required. It will also not in any way impact the front end of your website, and will be resolved with your next regular Gantry update.
There are 2 ways to go about applying this patch:
The first, and most common solution, is to download the updated package from Gantry.org. You don't need Hydrogen, just the Gantry 5 Component if you are Joomla or Gantry 5 Plugin if you are WordPress. Once downloaded, you can simply reinstall it on top of your current version and it will have the patched file.
Alternatively, you can download the main.js.zip file and replace the main.js file that you find in administrator/components/com_gantry5/js/main.js
if you are Joomla or wp-content/plugins/gantry5/admin/js/main.js
if you are WordPress.
